We who preach the gospel must not think of ourselves as public relations agents sent to establish good will between Christ and the world. We must not imagine ourselves commissioned to make Christ acceptable to big business, the press, the world of sports or modern education. We are not diplomats but prophets, and our message is not a compromise but an ultimatum. A.W. Tozer
Therefore let God-inspired Scripture decide between us; and on whichever side be found doctrines in harmony with the word of God, in favor of that side will be cast the vote of truth. --Basil of Caesarea
Once you learn to discern, there's no going back. You will begin to spot the lie everywhere it appears.

I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, putting me into service. 1 Timothy 1:12

Random Things Needing Discernment

An examination of the cult of Freemasonry. Yes, it is an un-Christian/anti-Christian cult.

Here is a good discernment lesson about how to look at a contemporary “Christian” song.

The apostate Fuller Seminary is NOT “evangelical.”  Christ would have nothing to do with so-called Christians who want unity with Muslims — a PAGAN religion.  What did Paul say about such in 2 Cor. 6:14? (H/T to Doug Evans.)

King” Eddie Long, a Word of Faith heretic, now knows the truth.

Things like this are why I have to ask if there are any real Christians in the Episcopal Church, and if so, why are you still there?

Jennifer LeClaire is a dangerous teacher! Of course, 99% of what Charisma magazine publishes is either aberrant or heretical, so what can we expect?

For those who really have no idea about what the New Apostolic Reformation is about, this article is a good introduction to them.  Horribly dangerous ideology, with lots of aberrant and heretical theological backing.  That one is followed by another testimony.

What you need to know about the charismatic movement (a root of the NAR) and why you need extreme discernment to avoid the false teachings from these people.

Stop telling me to fall in love with Jesus.  This is a terribly unbiblical idea. (I don’t recommend Patheos to immature and/or non-discerning Christians because they often have liberal teachings. And sometimes poor hermeneutics, such as in this article where they say the Song of Solomon is about Christ and the Church — a lie that was started by early church “fathers” who didn’t like the sexuality in it, which of course makes it even more bizarre by having an erotic relationship between Jesus and the Church!)

Remember Heidi Baker who is often with Bethel Redding?  Well her husband, Rolland, is as heretical and demonic as is she!

All you need to know about false prophet Mike Bickle and his IHOP cult all in one place.

Updated information about “The Shack.”  Needed information to counter praises for the movie version.

The Resurrection of Gavin Stone.  Don’t waste your time with this “Christian” movie, and warn your friends against it.
