Church of England Apostasy

The following article was in the November 2023 issue of Decision magazine:

According to a survey by The Times, many Church of England clergy no longer hold a Biblical view of sexuality.

More than half (53.4%) of the clergy agreed that priests should be permitted to conduct same-sex weddings. Slightly less than half (49%) said they’d be willing to officiate the ceremony of same-sex couples.

Out of the 1,185 active Anglican priests who responded to the survey, 62.6% believed the church should not oppose premarital sex. Slightly more than 1 in 3 (34.6%) thought the Church of England’s Biblical teaching on pre-marital sex should stay the same.

As for homosexuality, over half (64.5%) of the clergy said the Church should alter its teaching that homosexuality is “incompatible” with Scripture. Most priests (63.3%) also wanted to end the ban on gay priests, enabling them to have civil weddings.

“The Christian Gospel has always offered a radically distinct, challenging, and life-giving vision to society,” said Christian Concern CEO Andrea Williams. “Simply aping the current values of culture around us is the road to extinction for the Church of England.”

Around 6% of England’s total active clergy participated in the survey.

Why is it that sexual anarchy is so important that the Church wants to turn its back on God?

Of course the Anglican Church has dealt with this issue for at least a couple decades and I’ve many times linked to articles of how apostate they have become. When any Christian feels the need to have society’s approval regarding sexual morality, they’ve proven they don’t truly understand the faith.

The “revival” in Asbury is getting people excited, but is it really a move of God? I think THIS article, with citations from the first one, has some valid questions.

I consider Andy Stanley to be totally apostate.

The Church of England continues to prove it is a church of Satan.  And again.

Let’s start with an easy one: 10 Best Christian Discernment Blogs and Websites. I don’t know what the criteria is and I certainly think there are some better sites, but they’ve got me at #5.

Oh, how often I have said that Timothy Keller is a false teacher. Has he had some good teachings? Yes, but on the whole his bad more than outweighs his good. Here is another example of where he goes wrong. Oh, and he seems to be teaching evolutionism with some really weird and unbiblical ideas. I wish I had the time to do an in-depth exposure of how much of a wolf is Keller.

What about Matt Chandler and his “Acts 29 churches”? Chandler continues to prove his unworthiness to be a pastor.

Women clergy have been at the vanguard of pushing Christianity and Judaism to the left, leaving mainstream churches and synagogues increasingly empty. Of course, the increasingly feminized male clergy go along with their female colleagues.

An Agglomeration for "Pride Month"

“Pride Month” has all the heretics/apostates coming out of the woodwork as they mock God.

First, let’s start out with learning what “Pride Month” is.  It’s really about rebelling against God and His desires for human sexuality.

“Pride Month” is something with which no Christian should have any sympathy whatsoever.

Ah, but even a well-known Christian publisher, from where I’ve purchased many books, has decided to thumb their collective noses at God and endorse the perversion.

Then we have the “Hymn Society” blaspheming God with hymns sanctifying what God calls an abomination!

The Southern Baptist Convention is spiraling out of control.

A Mennonite denomination is now affirming fake marriage and promoting the “inclusion” of LGBTQ+ practitioners. 

Then we have a Catholic Church joining in on LGBTQ+ events.

A drag queen event, including children, in Texas was partially sponsored by a Catholic health ministry!

A ray of light is the news that a Catholic bishop said a Catholic school can no longer call themselves Catholic because they flew the LGBTQ+ flag and the Black Lives Matter flag. A man with guts!

Now let’s look at some items of regular apostasy and heresy outside of “Pride Month” celebrations, as well as wolves to avoid.

An ELCA university commencement had a prayer to Allah. Since Allah is a false Muslim god, this is just more proof of the apostate condition of the ELCA. Ah, but they are “inclusive.”

With that unbiblical series “The Chosen,” you need to get used to a different Jesus.

A somewhat lengthy, but excellent, article teaches why we shouldn’t use songs from Bethel, Hillsong or Elevation Churches: doing so supports false teachers and their teachings.

Together 2022 convention will “sacrifice truth on the altar of unity.”

Lastly, Russell Moore proves he is an unworthy teacher who idolizes false teacher Beth Moore; he makes me almost nauseous.
