I have been reading some excellent articles this past couple weeks, which I think need to be promoted; they have information which I believe is necessary for Christians to know for defending the Faith.  So, here are the links:

Random Aberrations, Apostasies, and Heresies

Another article via Erin: I am soooooo sick and tired of pastors goatherds using people in the entertainment industry as “Bible Study” aids.  It’s as if they have no idea what the Bible is!

Another example of problems with “The Message” and why NO ONE should use it.  It is a “mess.”

C. Peter Wagner declares that the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) is not a cult, and I agree.  It’s just a whole lot of false teaching with some of the most aberrant theology out there.  It is “Dominion” theology, which is not centralized to any specific group of people—which is unfortunate, because if it was centralized it would be easier to point to the problem people!  They are nothing but false prophets and wolves.

The unbiblical nature of prayer circles, and who is promoting them, including people you’d think would know better.

Why “War Room” should not have used Beth Moore or Priscilla Shirer:  They are both false teachers.

I’ve alerted my readers to the false teachings Oprah Winfrey and the spiritual dangers of watching her show or following her teachings.  This video is six years old, and I’ve seen it before, but I’ve not posted a link to it.  Now you can see from Oprah’s own mouth that she cannot be a Christian as she claims.

Tim Challies has a good review of Paul Young’s new book, “Eve.”  Like “The Shack,” it is rife with unbiblical and heretical teachings.  Don’t waste your money on it.

Another frequently abused Bible passage is John 14:14, and the Word Of Faith cult is the guilt party, spreading the lies about this passage to non-discerning people who think God is a virtual Santa Claus.

In my last “Random” post I noted another false teacher setting a date for the end [the link was gone by 12/30/16 and paragraph was deleted].  His name is Chris McCann, and he was a follower of Harold Camping.  Go figure.

Steven Furtick’s use of his church to advertise his books and enrich himself even more is downright disgusting.  The video is almost 42 minutes long, but well-worth for understanding several other aspects of this false teacher and his abuse of his position.  You’ll also learn some more about Ed Young’s wealth and his association with Furtick, as well some exposure of other mega-church false teachers.

UPDATE 9/25/15:  I have been advised by a reader that while the particular article about Jonathan Cahn is good, the linked page is by Walid Shoebat.  I've never heard of him, but he is a false teacher with "unsubstantiated claims about his past and defends the false idolatry of the Catholic Church" including icons, images, veneration of saints and relics, etc.  So those of you who went to the link, beware that anything else other than the article about Cahn may very well be false teaching.

The pope is again speaking on “climate change,” full-bore with the LEFTIST agenda.  Since he’s supposed to be speaking for Christ, why is he being such a false teacher?  Oh, wait, that’s the whole history of the papist church.  There is absolutely NO evidence that man is causing any climate changes.  The planet has gone through hot and cold cycles since creation, and yet the pope has no clue.

Lastly, The problem with Christian films.  I have to agree with this viewpoint.

Random Aberrations, Apostasies, and Heresies

Conservative commentator Mike Adams has a good article about “Three Kinds of Christians.”  I’m looking forward to the “to be continued…”

Arch heretic Rob Bell just completed his “Everything Is Spiritual Tour.”  This guy is a dangerous wolf pretending to be Christian, and yet he continues to sucker believers into believing his tripe.

R.C. Sproul’s ministry has an interesting graphic demonstrating the state of the Church insofar as theological beliefs of the average Christian.  Granted, 3000 people is a small survey sample, but in my personal contacts with many, many Christians I tend to find the same things.  Sigh.

Paul Young is back.  You know, that heretic who wrote that horrid book, “The Shack.”  Now he has a new book coming out, “Eve.”  As Elizabeth Prata says, “The heresy continues.”  I was pointed to another blog article covering Young’s new book as well as his old book, and his teachings in general — and if you have no idea who Young is, then I recommend this article as a good primer!

If you use “Bible Gateway” for quick reference, etc, be very wary of the advertisements which may show up.  I received an email this past week alerting me to this site as being advertised there — and this is certainly not something Christians should be fed!  I  realize that sites which open up to advertising may have little or no control as to what shows up, so you need to be careful on ANY site with advertisements.

The Watchman Fellowship has a new profile out on Hinduism, which you may find useful.  They have a lot of good “profiles” on various false teachers and cult, and you can purchase the complete set if desired.  Always concise and usually only 3-4 pages.

When I read about this arrest, it didn’t surprise me.  False teachers are always trying to fleece the flock!

Excellent article by Albert Mohler in regards to that historic First Baptist Church of Greenville, SC, which decided to apostatize over homosexuality.  Somehow they discerned that the Bible is in error.

Marsha West reposted an article from four years ago, and I think she’s right to do so because of the attitude projected by many against apologetics sites like mine.  While Tim Challies had a point, he painted with too broad of a brush, as Marsha pointed out.
I do have to say that those who follow my blog KNOW that I don’t only cover the bad (although exposing the wolves is the primary purpose of this blog), but I also provide information to good stuff, post thought-provoking quotes from excellent teachers, etc.  And I see the same thing with the many excellent blogs I follow.  I know there are indeed “nasty” blogs and sites out there, having come across many, but I think any discerning person will easily discover they are to be avoided.
