We who preach the gospel must not think of ourselves as public relations agents sent to establish good will between Christ and the world. We must not imagine ourselves commissioned to make Christ acceptable to big business, the press, the world of sports or modern education. We are not diplomats but prophets, and our message is not a compromise but an ultimatum. A.W. Tozer
Therefore let God-inspired Scripture decide between us; and on whichever side be found doctrines in harmony with the word of God, in favor of that side will be cast the vote of truth. --Basil of Caesarea
Once you learn to discern, there's no going back. You will begin to spot the lie everywhere it appears.

I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, putting me into service. 1 Timothy 1:12

More Odds and Ends

Lots of information on the ‘net about a so-called association of Bill Gothard with John MacArthur, but any who knows much about Gothard should know it’s a lie. A lengthy article shows where this “gossip” came from and the misrepresentations of what’s in a photo.

Examples of bad interpretations of Scripture by various Church Fathers

A great review of Debi Pearl’s new book, Created to Be His Help Meet. You can bet she twists scripture into pretzels.

While the major topic of this post is Nancy Pelosi’s violation of Catholic tenets, it really has good information about Christian doctrines which are violated by many who call themselves Christian.

“Heaven Tourism” is a dangerous fraud.

3 Reasons Why “The Chosen” Does More Harm Than Good. Beware that there is some Calvinist theology taught.

Beth Moore has gone full LEFT with calling “white” people racists. If this video doesn’t convince you that Beth Moore is a false teacher, you are in denial! By the way, she’s taught her daughter to be a horrible person.

Revoice—worshiping Satan and defending evil.

It’s difficult for me to believe Andy Stanley is really a Christian. He denies the Creation in Genesis.

Take the time to watch this video—52 minutes. You’ll learn why almost all the teachings you hear about angels is from false teacher who prove they are false Christians; what they teach is demonic.

Another MAJOR problem with Hillsong—Greed. Another exampleScandals in the church abound.

Another Agglomeration -- Already!

So much in the news since SCOTUS rightly overturned Roe v. Wade that a lot of Moloch worshippers are being exposed, even in the Church. That added to other news regarding crazy stuff being perpetrated by false teachers really added my collection of articles to share. So hold onto your seats!

This isn’t about apologetics, per se, but I think it is an excellent, thought-provoking article. I could argue it’s about apologetics in that we are looking at a biblical view of sex vs the culture’s view.

But with LEFTIST churches and teachers, they think telling someone to remain chaste is a burden and it is better to let women who have irresponsible sex to have an abortion. Just look at these “churches” and teachers:

United Church of Christ Funeral For Roe. They want abortion so they don’t have to follow the teachings in the link above! This denomination has been apostate for decades.

The Episcopal Church continues to prove it is a church of Satan. These people are disgusting.

The Gospel Coalition is supporting abortion!!! And contrary to their claim, there is absolutely NO moral reason for abortion. TGC is as apostate as it gets.

Methodist churches worshipping Moloch.

Beth Moore—she’s about as apostate as it gets.

If you think Christians should not be in politics, you need to read this.

Moving along:

Iowa City is rife with LEFTISTs, probably because it’s home to the University of Iowa. 1st Presbyterian Church of Iowa City has proven to be what PCUSA wants it to be—a heretical teaching institution. Start this video at 39 minutes and you will hear the most blasphemous prayer I’ve ever encountered!

This “church” is no longer a church of Christ, but of Satan.

The Church of England doesn’t know what a woman isAnother look at this apostasy.

The Bethel cult is now selling “declaration clickers”— “a powerful and practical tool to help believers renew their minds with truth by helping them tabulate the number of times they speak biblically based declarations.” Greedy leaders found another way to soak their cult members.  But, hey, they now have dominion of the air!

Fake “near death experiences” and visits to heaven—beware of these frauds.

And here we thought Willow Creek was bad before!

Why Do So Many Worship Leaders Look So Gay?

More on “The Chosen” and the Mormon connection.

The Brownsville/Pensacola Revival had many false teachers who are still out there.

Good, Bad, and Ugly

I’ve been quit busy and otherwise occupied over the past couple of weeks, and it doesn’t seem to be looking any better any time too soon.  I’ve been busy with several gigs and have many coming up, and the yard work is WAY behind (the weeds are taking over the gardens).  On top of that we spent three days last week traveling to and from the National Museum of the United States Air Force (a 9+ hr drive).  And that doesn't include the almost 800 photos I've been editing and sorting!  Oh, I’ve been responding to several research requests when I’m at my desk!

So I’m not yet ready to write any topical articles, but I have been collecting links the past couple weeks.  And I’m still trying to give away some books!  So let’s take a look at some interesting items of edification as well as alerts for false teachers.

The Good:
An exegesis of John 1:1 proving the Jehovah’s Witness translation to be erroneous.  A wee bit more on the subject.

Great analogy about claims of visiting heaven.

Some excellent questions to ask Seventh-day Adventists so as to reach them with the truth.

Thabiti Anyabwile has preached a lot of social gospel nonsense, but The Gospel Coalition seems to think he’s a wonderful teacher.  I like Seth Dunn’s response to “Anyabwile’s” apology to Beth Moore.

No, Jesus was NOT married to Mary Magdalene.

What is grace?  Many Christians don’t understand it, but cults have no clue.

An apparent contradiction explained: the cattle of Exodus 9 and 11.

The Bad and/or Ugly
Another response to Beth Moore’s whining, narcissistic “A Letter to My Brothers."

An example of all that is wrong with Bethel Redding.

Steven Furtick just keeps getting worse. This is flippant blasphemy.

More proof that the Episcopal church is totally apostate. Another good article about this incident, demonstrating even more apostasy at that assembly.  Take a look at this video promoting the event.

Six reasons to stop listening to Joyce Meyer.  Actually, you only need one reason — she is a rank heretic.

Rachel Held Evans just can’t go far enough to demonstrate her hatred for God and Christianity.

I keep saying to stay away from Tim Keller and his teachings.

Andy Stanley continues to prove he is not fit to be a pastor.

Here is another unbelieving wolf from the apostate PCUSA denomination. Mark and avoid him.

The humorous
Believe it or not, this is actually pretty much the way many KJV Onlyers think!

Good, Bad, and Ugly

Today I’ve got a back log of links to share with all sorts of articles.  Also, I’m still looking for homes for lots of books, as listed on this post. I’ve already sent out 15 books from the list (I deleted those no longer available)!

The Good:
Some good articles discussing transubstantiation have been published by Christian Apologetics & Research Ministry:

Who were the Pharisees? Looks like they had four good doctrinal positions.

Contrary to the claims of Jehovah’s Witnesses and Seventh-day Adventist, the archangel Michael is NOT Jesus.  And for the Mormons, he isn’t Adam either!

Biblical prophets vs modern prophets — some good thoughts.

A great list of scientists who disagree with Darwinism.

Rational Christian Discernment blog posts a lot of good articles exposing Roman Catholicism; I highly recommend it. (Jesse also posts about other subjects.)

The Bad and/or Ugly
Discerning people KNEW the claim about a trip to heaven was a lie, but Tyndale was more interested in making more money than protecting the flock from false teachings.

Run from Bethel Redding as fast as you can!

Brian Houston of Hillsong is downright heretical.

The “Jesus is my boyfriend” ideology just keeps spreading.  Mark and beware of the authors noted in this article.

Matt Chandler is now giving prophecies.

More proof that Steven Furtick is not qualified to be a pastor.

More proof that the Roman Catholic Church is anti-God; the Vatican and other Catholic sources are spending millions of dollars to support illegal immigrants. I thought Christians were supposed to obey the laws of the land! Even worse, the Pope is teaching heresy!

Another article proving the Episcopal Church no longer has a right to consider itself Christian.

Good, Bad, and Ugly

The Good:
We NEED to “name names” of false teachers.  Period.

Why do the Gospels and Josephus contradict each other about John the Baptist?

Can a false teacher heal you?

Leopard Theology” exposed.

A good book review about a book by an author of whom I’ve never heard: Ryan Lokkesmoe.  His book is really, really poor and full of false teachings. It’s one you can definitely skip.

During our home-schooling days in the early- and mid-1990s, we attended conferences at which material from Bill Gothard was displayed for sale.  Just skimming over the material we decided there was nothing interesting about it and passed it by.  In 1999 we began attending an assembly where the local Gothard representative attended, and we quickly learned something was amiss with that group. For more information I contacted the Christian Research Institute (by phone in those days) but they never reported on his teachings; they did, however, know of a group that did—Midwest Christian Outreach in the Chicago area. After contacting MCO I received a packet which provided me a wealth of information proving the horrid nature of Gothard’s teachings.  When I brought this information before the leadership they immediately placed a ban on any further recruiting for Gothard’s programs.  In 2002, while attending our first apologetics conference, we met Don Veinot of MCO, and he was one on the plenary speakers. He spoke of a book being released by MCO that year, “A Matter Of Basic Principles: Bill Gothard & the Christian Life.” Not only did I buy a copy, but after I read it I began ordering them by the case and giving them to pastors of many of the churches in town as well as everyone we knew who home-schooled.  Gothard’s teachings are still out there harming hundreds, if not thousands, of people. Here is an excellent review of this book, for perhaps whetting your appetite to purchase a copy.  Spread the word.

Freemasonry is inherently sinful. It's also another religion incompatible with Christianity.

The Bad:
Ever hear of Levi Lusko?  Neither had I until this article — another false teacher to avoid.

The ignorance and dangerous ideology of Bethel Redding “pastor” Kris Vallotton.

Tim Keller is descending more and more into apostasy.

The Pope is dangerous with his socialist, multi-cultural ideology.  Muslim “migrants” are barbarian, anti-God invaders to Europe. Joseph and Mary were not dangerous to anyone, and worshiped God.

The Ugly:
Bizarre NAR activities at Bethel Redding.  That place is NOT Christian

Kris Vallotton of Bethel Redding is a blatant false teacher — really.   The heresy at Bethel gets deeper as a children’s “pastor” teaches telepathy.

Too many “churches” are doing just like this apostate one — kowtowing to Muslims.

Charismatics and “Heaven” Tourism.  Some of the worst kind of frauds.

How About Some Interesting Articles!

An interesting story about archaeological finds at the temple in Jerusalem.

Yes, the Bible DOES address “transgenderism.”

Does the Gospel of Mark teach the deity of Christ?

Sexual Morality in a Christless World.  Sounds like a good book to read!  On the flip side, Tim Challis posted an article about the sexual immorality of the Roman empire, which sounds much like that in the current USA!

Why study Church history?  To help prevent acceptance of erroneous beliefs.  I’m a history buff and am on my second time through Eusebius’ history of the church (for those who don’t know, he was the first Church historian, tracing its history until early 4th century).  I’ve also finished three volumes of the 10-volume set of the writings of the Ante-Nicene Fathers.   I also have two different books which are single volume histories of the Church, and I highly recommend the book, “The Early Christians In Their Own Words,” edited by Eberhard Arnold, as well as David W. Bercot’s “A Dictionary of Early Christian Beliefs.”  I have numerous other books about various aspects of the history of the Church.  Every Christian should have at least ONE volume of church history!

An interesting look at what the Bible says about heaven.
