We who preach the gospel must not think of ourselves as public relations agents sent to establish good will between Christ and the world. We must not imagine ourselves commissioned to make Christ acceptable to big business, the press, the world of sports or modern education. We are not diplomats but prophets, and our message is not a compromise but an ultimatum. A.W. Tozer
Therefore let God-inspired Scripture decide between us; and on whichever side be found doctrines in harmony with the word of God, in favor of that side will be cast the vote of truth. --Basil of Caesarea
Once you learn to discern, there's no going back. You will begin to spot the lie everywhere it appears.

I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, putting me into service. 1 Timothy 1:12

Did They Really Say That?!?

“Adam was a super being when God created him.  I don’t know whether people know this but he was the first superman that really ever lived.  First of all, the Scriptures declare clearly that he had dominion over the birds of the air, the fish of the sea — which means he used to fly.  Of course, how can he have dominion over the birds and not be able to do what they do?  The word ‘dominion’ in the Hebrew clearly declares that if you have dominion over a subject, that you do everything the subject does.  In other words, that subject, if it does something you cannot do, you don’t have dominion over it.  I’ll prove it further.  Adam not only flew; he flew to space.  He was — with one thought he would be on the moon.”

Benny Hinn, Praise the Lord, Trinity Broadcasting Network, 26 December 1991. cited by Hank Hanegraaff in Christianity in Crisis 21st Century, p.376

Do I really have to explain what’s wrong with this?

I find it interesting what Hinn didn’t say in regards to his reasoning about “dominion.”  To have dominion over the fish, Adam would have to be able swim underwater without coming up for air.  To have dominion over some ocean-dwellers he’d have to be able to swim at great depths without compression problems.  To have dominion over cheetahs he’d have to run super fast.  He's also have to spin a web to have dominion over spiders. The list could go on and on.

And yet people hang on to this man’s every word!  Hinn is nothing less than a minion of the devil.

American politics has Joe Biden and American Christianity has Benny Hinn. He's good for a laugh but I can't believe that people take him seriously.

And that's the really sad thing - too many DO take him seriously and he gets wealthier and wealthier as more people follow him.

Yes, gentleman, people DO take Benny seriously and they DO tithe him money/mammon, and the DO promote the man and his false teachings. These people are faithful unto him and his televised show as well as the 501c. 3 network.

And when you question the teachings of this man to his faithful minions, they will scorn you to the point of abuse. Been there and done that. No thank-you.

Benny is not saved. Pray for him.
