We who preach the gospel must not think of ourselves as public relations agents sent to establish good will between Christ and the world. We must not imagine ourselves commissioned to make Christ acceptable to big business, the press, the world of sports or modern education. We are not diplomats but prophets, and our message is not a compromise but an ultimatum. A.W. Tozer
Therefore let God-inspired Scripture decide between us; and on whichever side be found doctrines in harmony with the word of God, in favor of that side will be cast the vote of truth. --Basil of Caesarea
Once you learn to discern, there's no going back. You will begin to spot the lie everywhere it appears.

I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, putting me into service. 1 Timothy 1:12

Important Thoughts About Voting!

Let’s start of with a thought about politics; “A vote is not a valentine, you aren’t confessing your love for the candidate. It’s a chess move for the world you want to live in.”

Polls show millions of Christians will not be voting, which means if the worst side wins it will be their fault. I don’t like the candidate the Republicans are putting forward but I like even less the demonic and communist tyranny which will increase under Demokrat rule. If they win this time, there will never again be a Republican government.

At least read this Appeal to Non-voting Christians, and think about YOUR responsibility.

Glenn, I wanted you to know that I took your post to heart. I looked at those two articles, and although they were not the most articulate ones I have seen on this particular topic, I did decide to register to vote online just now, in order to use my voice next month.

Hi Lorna,
I am happy to hear that! I thought the arguments were well stated. I've voted every election since 1975 when I voted against Carter, who, incidentally, was the worst president until Biden-Harris.

I voted only one time in my whole life (in the early 70s, soon after they lowered the minimum voting age to 18); I can't even remember which election. (I gave it no thought but simply made the same selections that my mom did.) I've kept my distance from politics since then, but lately it seems imperative to speak up.

You are so full of it. You are indeed a Trump supporter because you are a red-neck and believe all the claims like the 2020 election being stolen.

Edward,

WOw, how Christian of you!
No, I don't like Trump, so that's first lie.
I am not a red-neck (usually applied to rural whites of the Southern United States) because I'm from Ohio and now live in Iowa. Second lie in your comment.
No I do not believe all the claims about the 2020 election; third lie.

So you just call names and lie about me and that is your argument opposing my blog post?

You are an old man and a fool. Trump was the best president we've had in decades and you still do not like him?!?!? WHY?????? He deserves a second term. I consider people like you to be an even bigger threat to this nation than democrat voters themselves.

I don't know why I should bother with trolls like you but I feel the need to correct you ignorant claims.

I said I didn't like Trump, not that I wouldn't vote for him. I wanted a BETTER candidate, especially since Trump can only serve four years while another candidate could serve 8 years.
You don't know me so can you consider me a bigger threat to the nation than Demokrats? THEY are the extreme danger to the USA.

"Millions of Christians" are not voting in the American elections because they are not really Christians. They are not saved, totally shut out of the Kingdom of Heaven from Before the Foundation of the World. Women should not even be allowed to vote lest alone hold the presidency. And, before you object to my last thought, we would not be in the shape we are in today had things been kept the old-fashioned way. Women always vote DEMOCRAT.

Glenn E. Chatfield said...

John,
I'm sure that there are a good many in the stats that aren't really Christians, but I also know of many who ARE Christian and won't vote this time because they don't like Trump as their only reason. Your comments about women only shows your ignorance. Virtually all women I know vote Republican. So get off your misoginist horse. By the way, a real Christian wouldn't make such statements about women, especially the lie of "Women always vote DEMOCRAT.

Glenn, I have noticed that you often spell Democrat as Demokrat. Would you mind sharing why you do that? I am very curious. (I could not find any reference to that spelling online, other than as part of non-English languages.)

Hi Lorna,
I do that to point out that they are SOCIALIST and virtually Communist.

OK, thanks, Glenn. I figured it was something along those lines. By the way, I just dropped off my election ballot (at a county drop box), voting Republican all the way--contrary to John Fisher’s unfounded assertion above. (I assume you saw the discussion over at Stan’s blog last month, where I indicated that I revised my earlier position as expressed in the comment thread. I am a decisive person, but I just as decisively change my mind!)

Hi Lorna,

Yep I saw the discussion at Stan's--I can never understand how anyone, let alone a Christian, could vote for a party which does nothing but take away rights and do their best to destroy our country.
