We who preach the gospel must not think of ourselves as public relations agents sent to establish good will between Christ and the world. We must not imagine ourselves commissioned to make Christ acceptable to big business, the press, the world of sports or modern education. We are not diplomats but prophets, and our message is not a compromise but an ultimatum. A.W. Tozer
Therefore let God-inspired Scripture decide between us; and on whichever side be found doctrines in harmony with the word of God, in favor of that side will be cast the vote of truth. --Basil of Caesarea
Once you learn to discern, there's no going back. You will begin to spot the lie everywhere it appears.

I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, putting me into service. 1 Timothy 1:12

PCUSA Apostasy

Well, they’ve gone and done it denominationally; on 5/10/11 the PCUSA “voted to ordain openly homosexual candidates to its ministry.”
It matters not to them what Scripture says about homosexuality, rather it matters to them what society says.  They call themselves an “inclusive” body, meaning they will include you for membership no matter how rank your sin is, or how deviant your life may be.  Just show up and claim to be a part of their body because they don’t care what the Bible says.
Albert Mohler has an excellent report on this apostasy, which I recommend for your perusal.

Society’s love affair with homosexuality has claimed another entire denomination.  The wolves are in charge of the PCUSA flock.

This denomination has been apostate for decades. Carl McIntire wrote his book The Death of a Church (1967) about the PCUSA following their Confession of 1967.

Yes, they have been. I've had several previous posts about them. Real Christians should not be there.

I never heard of that book, but I had collected stuff in my files over the years and I have posted previous articles about their descent. Very sad.

I listened to only the PCUSA guy's introduction speech, and it demonstrated that his whole agenda is to have reasons to defend his belief that homosexuality is okay.

He ran with a litany of historical abuse of the Bible, claimed that culture changes and the Holy Spirit is active in this change. He essentially claimed that poor hermeneutics used to support oppressing blacks, women, etc, is somehow proof that it is poor hermeneutics which says homosexuality is wrong.

His entire argument was full of logical fallacies.

I continued listening to this video and was surprised how poorly the "good guy" did with the arguments the PCUSA guy came up with. The homosexualist just kept bringing up trite and stale arguments which have been rebutted over and over again, and yet these clowns act like they've never gotten an answer.
