As president of the American Humanist Association, [Isaac] Asimov defined humanism as a non-theistic religion. Not a philosophy, a credo, or a pleasant aphorism, but a religion. This is the religion of evolution that trades under the pseudonym of the science of evolution. Asimov had a right to worship the altar of his choice, just as do evolutionists today; but we must be aware that, when religion masquerades as science, both suffer.
