I have been examining the poor teaching in this book, the way in which Bill Gothard twists Scripture, etc.
I have made 10 posts about this book, beginning a year ago, and could continue with a few more, but I decided to just leave what I have.
As I noted on my first post about this book: One of my blog followers sent me a box of publications by Bill Gothard’s IBLP and other personal teachings quite a while back. So much has gone on in my life that I totally forgot about that box. Recently I came across the box and began looking at the material; oh what a lot to examine and expose!!!
Well I’m having less and less time for blogging and I decided Gothard will only be very small part of my exposing of false teachings because there is just tooooooo much! So I will dispose of the most of the material material and leave Gothard pretty much behind.

Glenn, That was a helpful series of posts you undertook, and I for one appreciate your doing them. At one time, many years ago, I considered Bill Gothard a wise man who offered sound Biblical advice; now I know better. It really is necessary to carefully examine all our so-called "Christian" influences and to read and listen to others with discernment, in order to guard our hearts and our minds. Thanks for your efforts along those lines!
I began exposing Gothard with articles in 2011 and many of my "agglomeration"- type posts linked to articles others have written. I know some people who have suffered harm because of his teachings, which is why I began addressing them.
Don and Joy Veinot, along with Ron Henzel, wrote an excellent book titled, "A Matter of Basic Principles," and later a 20th Anniversary edition. They really expose Gothard for the not-so-good person that he is.
