Some good articles...
Do not provoke your children, very important counsel for Christian families. John MacA had a good sermon a while back on this issue, and talked about many things that can provoke a child... overprotection/micro-management, discouragement, perfectionism, favoritism, neglect/abuse, etc. We can also extrapolate these thought processes to Christian leaders not provoking congregants with similar things (arbitrary decisions, unfairness, favoritism, micromanagement, expecting perfection, neglecting the sheep, etc).
Yes, the Millennial Reign of Christ is a literal 1000 years with Christ on this earth - it's what the Bible teaches, and it hasn't happened yet. Even if there was no documentation of "early witness" to that truth, it's still the truth! That's what you get from a plain reading of Scripture. All other eschatological positions are in err.
The judge article - not many folks love a corrupt judge here on earth... except them who profit from the lack of justice, i.e.: the criminal who gets off easy. Ecc 8:11 says Because the sentence against an evil deed is not executed quickly, therefore the hearts of the sons of men among them are given fully to do evil. So earthly justice is VERY important. Without it, a society will unravel. Most people want to see justice here on earth. The irony is that we want God to be lenient on our own sin, or ignore it altogether. Sad that we want more from earthly judges than from God who is the Best and Most Righteous Judge of All.
Correct, no crude speech from believers, not even in jest. Definitely not a trait that a pastor should be known for, either.

Glenn, I recently jotted down a list of my favorite ten songs. These are "favorites" in the sense of moving me deeply whenever I hear them, and compelling me to run them through my mind during quiet times. Later it struck me that all ten songs fall in the secular category. Does that surprise you? If you wrote your own list of favorite songs, how many of your top ten would be in the Christian genre?

I guess I don't have any favorite songs outside of hymnology! My top one would probably be "The Love of God."
