Well-worth reading article about the Eastern Orthodox Church—and why it’s not any better than Roman Catholicism when it comes to false teachings. You might also take a look at my article from 2010 where I examine their teachings.
What about the Episcopal Church’s heresy? I’ve often exposed issues with them but this article is a good overview of why they are no longer worthy to be called “Christian.”
What the Philadelphia 11 has for the SBC. Women leading churches has led to the destruction of churches they lead. Yet Rick Warren supports them. A good response to Warren and his ilk.
Even Catholics are capitulating to the “alphabet mafia.”
The Bible and Homosexuality—six minutes, 30 seconds video.
A Biblical Response to the ‘Transing’ of America: Romans 1:18-28, by Gary Hamrick. Excellent sermon.
A good video explaining many un-Christian aspects of The Chosen; homosexuality promoted in the background, horrid representations of the biblical figures, Mormon involvement, etc. These are things YOU support if you watch this unbiblical series.
The Encounter We’ve Never Had. Thought-provoking. Don’t forget to read the comments.
Bethel is about as heretical and aberrant as it gets.
Notice with artificial intelligence giving a sermon it is about feeling good.
Rank heretic, false teacher extraordinaire, Steven Furtick, exposed as the non-Christian that he is.
John Piper just keeps getting worse; he’s a wolf.
Andy Stanley’s church embraces homosexuals and “transgenders.”
Evidence that this university is NOT Christian.
This absolute heresy is from a United Church of Christ.
So much false teaching is invading the church that discernment is really, really needed.

Issues with Piper aside, American Evangelicals are going to have a lot to answer for regarding their excessive devotion to political causes. Jesus said, "preach the gospel," NOT, "run for office."
There is absolutely NO reason Christians cannot get involved in politics. One can "preach the gospel" even while doing their job as a politician.
So I suppose we shouldn't have any job that doesn't include preaching the gospel?
I agree. Mr. Chatfield. One of the reasons our country is in the sad shape it is in, is because Christians have left too much of the "politics" to the non-Christians...refusing to stand for the right and getting involved where and when possible!
FYI - Link for: Evidence that this university is NOT Christian doesn't work. The "address" line is ok, but the page blank. Censored??? Wouldn't be a surprise!
HI April,
I just tested it and it works. Might be your computer (sounds like what my 13-yr-old iMac does now and then). Here's the link:

I don't consider Piper any sort of authority on anything, but the author at the Evangelical Dark Web doesn't improve on him either. Chuck Colson wrote a great book on the subject that easily supersedes both of them: Kingdoms in Conflict.
Jesse,
Please explain the problem with EDW.
If you had discernment, you would leave Christianity.
Cowardly anonymous,
I just posted your inane comment so readers can see what sort of foolishnes I receive.
Thank you for sticking up for the truth of the gospel, brother.
Glen, what's your take on the late Michael heisner? Re: Enoch and side books re: parables? I swiftly brushed off the apocryphal books. Might be meisner...my dyslexic recall!
Be quiet and appear intelligent. You clearly haven t studied like Josh McDowell the atheist atty who did a 180.
It's Michael heifer. The late Mr Heiser
Heiser
He was a competent scholar. He is trustworthy.
Hi Jack,
I never heard of him, but I just found an article on him by the Berean Call; sounds like Heiser is not one to listen to!

Anonymous,
You don't know what I have studied, and I'm quite familiar with Josh McDowell. No, I haven't been to seminary or had formal training, but I have studied over 1000 volumes on Christian theology and apologetics. You don't need a degree to understand the Christian faith.
By the way, I was raised in an unbelieving family, became a Mormon while in the Army, and then became a real believer in January 1974. So I too have taken a 180.
I was interested to find your articles on Eastern Orthodoxy, as being a follower of what is happening at home in the UK I have become aware that many, including evangelicals, are leaving the compromised Church of England and similar drifting denominations for Orthodoxy where they cannot quite stomach the RCC (or perhaps because the RCC is starting to compromise on the same issues for which they are leaving protestantism).
Without having looked into its specific doctrines I have to date regarded Orthodoxy as similar 'religious' cobwebby deadness as characterises the RCC. A lot of external ritual that may actually hide an absence of internal spiritual content. Faith in the church rather than faith in Christ. This does not mean I assume all Catholics or Orthodox are necessarily unbelievers, but it doesn't bode well. Any of us can put our faith in Christ and yet have a lot of historical or denominational 'baggage'.
I'm now starting to wonder if going east may be out of the frying pan and into the fire!
I hope you won't worry about me too much, but regarding John Piper I found myself unusually more in agreement with him on this occasion. The church in its institutional form has a poor record when it gets its hands on 'secular' power, whether Catholic or protestant (Calvinists). If the penalties of the Mosaic Law were ever reintroduced there would be little chance of experienceing that wonderful phrase and such were some of you in 1 Cor 6.
