We who preach the gospel must not think of ourselves as public relations agents sent to establish good will between Christ and the world. We must not imagine ourselves commissioned to make Christ acceptable to big business, the press, the world of sports or modern education. We are not diplomats but prophets, and our message is not a compromise but an ultimatum. A.W. Tozer
Therefore let God-inspired Scripture decide between us; and on whichever side be found doctrines in harmony with the word of God, in favor of that side will be cast the vote of truth. --Basil of Caesarea
Once you learn to discern, there's no going back. You will begin to spot the lie everywhere it appears.

I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, putting me into service. 1 Timothy 1:12

Good, Bad and Ugly

Dan McClellan's Take on Jesus & Homosexuality EXPOSED by Rob Gagnon: Why It's Historically Laughable. 35 minute video which gives facts about the scripture denouncing homosexuality. Mr. Gagnon gives you excellent facts to use with those who say Jesus never said anything about homosexuality.

Some good teaching about how to approach a discussion about homosexuality.

Excellent overview of Roman Catholicism.

CHRIST is the Head of the Church.

Do Catholics Worship Mary? An excellent examination of the Catholic Mary. The video is just over an hour but well worth watching

Bad

Israel’s Greatest Weakness Is That It Won’t Challenge Arab-Style Historiography. Interesting research into the true history of Israel vs what Muslims claim.

Why did Protestant Churches lower their flags to half staff when the Pope died!?!? I didn’t lower MY flag!  The video also examines some Papist teachings.

Why in the world are Christians selling Church buildings to Muslims for mosques?!?! Just enriching the devil.

Does Christian musician Brandon Lake not understand the point of worship? Apparently not.

UGLY

(In Their Own Words!) The Man-Centered False Teaching of Bethel Royalty

4 Evangelical Leaders Who Accepted Mormonism & Why It Matters (Domino Effect). Even has Dallas Jenkins (of The Chosen) stating that the LDS is a true Christian faith.

Joseph Prince: I’ve linked to articles about him only twice and I just discovered that one of them is no longer available. However, here is a decent article exposing this heretic for who he really is.

Another example of how far the ELCA has left the true Christian faith.

Delman Coates—a false teacher whom I’ve never before heard of! He says sexual immorality is just fine and not a sin!  AND, information from another source.

John Bevere Is a Narcissist and This Video Proves It!  21 minutes of his blaspheming, claiming God talks to him all of the time. He says he wrote a book in which God is the real author because GOD told him what to write.

Always remember that discernment is the ability to hear the hiss of the serpent!

Random Aberrations, Apostasies, and Heresies

NEVER partner with heretics in any way, shape, or form.

A good summation of false teachings and bad ideology from Andy Stanley.

Joel Osteen has proven he is not a true Christian by preaching another gospel.

I think this “church” would violate Paul’s command to do everything decently and with order (1 Cor. 14:40).  This pretty much looks like a goatherd with a goat-pen.

Steven Furtick is being proven over and over again to be someone to completely avoid as well as warning others to avoid him.  Read not only this article, but also the article it links to: “Steven Furtick: His Past, Present, Future.”  There is nothing godly about this man.  In the first article, the first video has just a brief mention of Furtick, by John MacArthur as being unqualified), but the whole video is well-worth listening to as MacArthur has some really solid comments about various false and/or seeker-sensitive teachings. (If you leave the video up after it ends, the next one continues MacArthur’s responses to questions about various false teachings; the man doesn’t mince words.)

A good review of “God’s Not Dead 2.”  I don’t waste my time with this sort of movie.

More teachers to avoid like the plague: Lisa and John Bevere, and their idol Kris Vallotton (who happens to be with Bethel Redding).

Christine Caine continues to demonstrate that she is indeed a false teacher.

God’s Gang” is a horrible goatpen pretending to be a Christian Church.

Several years ago, during the time of the “Toronto Blessing,” I read John Arnott’s book,
The Father’s Blessing.”  I saw lots of false teachings in that book, and of course I knew the “revival” in Toronto (later carried to Brownsville, FL) was man-made nonsense.  I found
this review of Arnott’s book in my files, so I thought it would be good to share.

The ultimate oxymoron: ‘Christian Psychic.’”  Well, I think there is a worse oxymoron — “Christian pornography” — but that doesn’t alter the fact that Christianity and psychics don’t mix!

Doug Evans has an excellent article describing the occult roots of the New Apostolic Reformation.  William Branham is an unfamiliar name to most, but he is an important person to know about due to the grave philosophy he started.

I've heard of Ed Stetzer before, but NOW I know he’s someone to avoid listening to.  This man totally forgets there was a Reformation for a reason.

NO!  Paul’s teachings DID NOT conflict with those of Jesus’!

The Exclusiveness of Remnantism.  Starts on page 16.

Very important article about IHOP.  This cult is spiritually dangerous!!

Should women be pastors?  Absolutely NOT. The heretical organization called Sojourners tries to teach otherwise and is exposed by Elizabeth Prata.

The satire at Babylon Bee is just too on target!!!

Random Aberrations, Apostasies, and Heresies

The PCUSA has some of the worst false teachers and heretics.  Now they have a “pastor” who loves abortion, and calls the abortion industry a “ministry”!!!

Elizabeth Prata has a good article demonstrating why Hebrews 9:27 does not contradict scriptures where people are raised from the dead.

The heretical teachings of Herbert W. Armstrong, founder of the Worldwide Church of God, are infiltrating the church through news articles by Joseph Kovacs of WorldNetDaily (WND).  Watch out!

If you wonder why Christians — real Christians vs the “Christian Left” — are hated, so much, Dr. Don Boys explains why we’ve always been hated.  One of the big troubles in modern times is that real Christians are hated not only by the world, but also by so-called Christians who have embraced the world’s cultural teachings.

Just what we need—another book by Rachel Held Evans.

Some more information on Andy Stanley’s recent teaching about homosexuality.

The latest episode of the TV series “A.D.” is reviewed by Answers in Genesis.  The series has proven once again that when false teachers are in charge of such projects, you will end up with a lot of unbiblical nonsense deceiving the non-discerning.

I learned more about another false teacher this past week—John Bevere.  Apparently he’s just another Word of Faith heretic.  My introduction to him was by the way of a review of a book he has written.  I’m telling you, you just can’t keep up with all the false teaching invading the Church and the world. (A couple years ago I linked to this article which included information about his wife, but also some information about their ministry.)

Tony Campolo—need I say more?

For those who are involved in Bible Study Fellowship, be very cautious about where that organization is headed. Now they are promoting the horrid book, "Jesus Calling," a book whose author claims direct revelation from God -- among other things.

One of the current arguments for homosexuality supposedly being a biblically okay lifestyle is the claim that Jesus never said anything about it. Of course arguing from silence is rarely a good argument, but as I pointed out in an earlier article Jesus DID say something about it.  Christianity Today Astray actually has a good article addressing this claim, and I think this is a good summary statement:  “From Hollywood celebrities to famous pastors, Jesus’ silence is being cited as the final authority on issues ranging from homosexuality to masturbation to street evangelism. This negative hermeneutic is the logical extreme of Red Letter Christianity.”  Yes, this is exactly the end result of the teaching of Tony Campolo and his ilk.

Lastly, some good information for responding to the cult of homosexuality in the Church.  One of their claims is that the word arsenokoites, translated as “homosexuals” in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 and 1 Timothy 1:9-11, is actually about abusive homosexual relationships rather than loving ones.  The Cripplegate has a fairly lengthy excerpt of Robert A.J. Gagnon’s excellent book, “The Bible and Homosexual Practice,” in which the idea of “abusive homosexuality” is thoroughly rebutted.  (I purchased this book 3 years ago and need to alert the reader to the fact that the author subscribes to the nonsensical JEPD and Q theories, uses Kinsey’s studies, has some hermeneutical problems in regards to other passages which deal with gender roles.)
