I don't put much stock in what the folks at the Evangelical Dark Web say. As for Our Daily Bread publications, those have always been garbage. They promote superficial biblical interpretations and legalistic ideas. It is my understanding that McLelland is an okay scholar, providing insights into the historical and geography of the biblical world.
Please explain your reticence regarding Evangelical Dark Web.
Our Daily Bread actually had some good stuff years ago, and recently we wanted to replace some; different covers now but same interior.
Several years ago, maybe even two decades, they had new leadership and that was what took them down the wrong road. I knew that when we ordered copies of the old material, but I'm learning that it's worse than I thought.
Did you actually read the article about McLelland that I gave the link for? She may be a scholar in those fields but NOT in the Christian faith.
