Should a church use worship music from sources that are proven to be part of the spirit of error and falsehood Jesus warns about?  Absolutely not!!!!!!  I have previously pointed out to a “worship leader” the problem with Hillsong music and he stopped using it.

The United Methodist Church has more and more ungodly leaders and members who cannot be Christian. Then we have a Methodist Church in Florida.

Baylor University’s use of “Christian/Church/faith communities”—Whatever words they are using to suggest what they are doing is not ungodly, they should be exposed far and wide for thumbing their noses at God.

An ELCA “pastor” proves again that the ELCA has no idea of what the Gospel is.

Don’t Say You Will do Something, Just Do It!

Today’s “worshipers” seem content to sing, over and over, or example, “I will sing of your love forever,” or “I love to praise you, Lord,” or “We have come into your house to worship you,” or similar empty phrases. Why are they “empty?” The answer is obvious to anyone who stops to think for a moment.

To repeat the phrase, “I will sing of your love forever,” is not singing of His love at all. You are only saying you are going to sing of His love. If you are sincere, then stop promising to sing of His love and get to it! Sing of His love! Recite what He has done in love, how much He has loved you, and tell Him how much you love Him and why. This should be obvious.

The same is true of “I love to praise you, Lord,” or “We’ve come to worship you.” This is neither praise nor worship but merely saying that you love to praise Him or are going to worship Him. If so, then let’s praise and worship Him! Praise is not saying that you love to praise, nor is worship promising to worship. Let’s really do it!

Profession of sound doctrine alone—that is, mere assent to propositional truth—is no substitute for a living faith. But apart from biblical doctrine, the activity of worship becomes bit nature less a service to a holy God and more an emotional experience employed as a tool to pacify a conscience troubled by corrupt behavior.

While advocates of “contemporary” worship certainly have no corner on sinful behavior, it has become increasingly less shocking to hear of immoral behavior by preachers who trade on feelings, have marginal interest in doctrine, and follow CCW forms of worship.

He’s been making headlines with his bodacious debut at Joel Osteen’s “church,” and has made the absurd claim that “the greatest artist God ever created is now working for him.” I’d say that is some arrogant presumption!  Seems he’ll fit right in with Osteen unless some REAL Christian can get his attention.
