We who preach the gospel must not think of ourselves as public relations agents sent to establish good will between Christ and the world. We must not imagine ourselves commissioned to make Christ acceptable to big business, the press, the world of sports or modern education. We are not diplomats but prophets, and our message is not a compromise but an ultimatum. A.W. Tozer
Therefore let God-inspired Scripture decide between us; and on whichever side be found doctrines in harmony with the word of God, in favor of that side will be cast the vote of truth. --Basil of Caesarea
Once you learn to discern, there's no going back. You will begin to spot the lie everywhere it appears.

I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, putting me into service. 1 Timothy 1:12

Some Protestant truth about Mary, Jesus’ Mother

John MacArthur Blasts The Gospel Coalition: “Woke,” “Useless Entity,” “Like Christianity Astray”

Are Christians To Be Giving Tithes? Absolutely not!

“He Gets Us Campaign,” The Chosen, and books promote/teach lots of false Jesus’s. Beware.

The Chosen and the goats who watch it. Blasphemy and heresy. More of how the series deceives. Additionally, they lie when they say it isn’t a ministry.

IHOP Kansas City was NEVER of or from God. It is a haven of false teachers and false teachings.

Worst church of 2024?  Be sure to go to the link provided on this site to see more information.

Steven Furtick continues to prove that he is a rank heretic, not a real Christian and a horrid narcissist. He can get downright stupid!

YES, T.D. Jakes is a false teacher—and false Christian.

The “generational curse” fraud.

THIS is what you get with a female “pastor.”

False prophet “Tony” is a dangerous NAR “prophet.”

Mike Todd and his Transformation Church are horrid, with false teachings by a narcissist who claims God talks to him.  And he has one of the weirdest teachings I’ve ever heard!

Panentheism: The Second of Many Reasons Why I Could Never Be Roman Catholic.

If you missed the first reason, purgatory, I had posted it on 8/8/23 but here’s the link again.

More Wolves and False Teachings

Beware of Bible Study Fellowship. From last summer!

The United Methodist Church and its love affair with homosexuality has taken it to virtually total apostasy.  Oh the apostasy of the Methodists!

Preachers N’ Sneakers.  These people are wolves enriching themselves at the expense of the sheep.

About Josh Harris and other apostates. Brian Houston excuses the apostasy of one of his song-writers by claiming that he wasn’t a leader.  I agree with Jeff Maples — writing songs for a group makes you a leader, even a “worship” leader.

How Hillsong and Brian Houston are Destroying Christianity.  I disagree with the headline because no one can destroy Christianity.  I’d say they are totally misrepresenting Christianity which destroys people’s beliefs about what Christianity is. After all, what kind of a church puts on a circus show?!?

The Gospel Coalition is just about totally apostate.

How can the ELCA church continue to call itself Christian, let alone Lutheran?!?!  And it gets worse.

An extensive, yet informative article about Roman Catholicism heresy and the cry for unity with Rome.

The unbiblical, aberrant nonsense of Jennifer LeClaire. Avoid this wolf and everything she says!

These people are really worshipping the devil as they blaspheme God.

So fake miracles are okay?!?!?!  Exactly why the International House of Prayer is a dangerous place.

Did he really say this?!?!

If this doesn’t prove that Bethel Redding is an ungodly apostate and heretical goat-pen, nothing will.

Good, Bad, and Ugly

Lots of stuff coming across my computer this week, so I need to get it out before it gets too overwhelming!

The Good:
Follow-up about watching “Game of Thrones.”  I can’t understand the mentality of those who responded to the previous post.

No, reading the Bible is NOT equivalent to watching “Game of Thrones.”

Questions for KJV Onlyers — part 1.  Parts 2 and 3 are linked to at the bottom of the article.

Same-sex attraction is sinful.

The Nashville Statement — you’ll need to read this to understand some “ugly” articles below.  A good commentary on how unbelievers are responding.

The Bad:
Another reason to avoid Michael Brown. He seems to have absolutely NO discernment.

A wee bit of humor about heretics Kenneth and Gloria Copeland not stopping Hurricane Harvey.

IHOP Warning — the place is a cult with lots of false teachers.

Awana is going farther down the road to apostasy.

The Ugly:
Christianity in the U.K. is spiraling into total apostasy.

Transgender” heresy.  There is no such thing as “transgender” — one is born either male or female and no amount of surgical mutilation or hormones will change that.  Parents pushing that agenda on their children should be charged with child abuse.

An example of all that is wrong with Jen Hatmaker.  She continues to prove she is not a real Christian.  A lot of people are like her in regards to this subject — I saw it on the Internet.

Perry Noble — need I say more?

Random Things Needing Discernment

Lots of things in the news this past couple weeks which need to have warnings about.  Hold on to your hats!

Steven Furtick, narcissist.  Real Christians should avoid him like the plague while he can feed his goats all day long.

Perry Noble is being revived with the help of another false teacher, Steven Furtick.  Wolves run in packs.  (I hate to bust Noble’s bubble, but “alcoholism” isn’t a disease.  It’s a lack of self control.)

The World Race and Adventures in Missions has connections to IHOP — go figure!

Interesting article about Billy Graham’s apostasy over the years, and how it developed.

Pastor Gabe examines another “contemporary Christian” song, “Above All”, demonstrating problems with the lyrics.  We’ve sung this in the past at our former church, prior to me examining songs on my blog.  I agree with Pastor Gab, and never really liked it.

“Christian astrology” is just as much of an oxymoron as is “Christian psychology.”  Scattered Sheep has an excellent article explaining problems with the idea of the gospel in the zodiac, and the false teachings of the “soothsayers of the Second Advent.”

Seven types of false teachers in the church today.

I just have to share this one about false teacher Shawn Bolz.

The New Apostolic Reformation is getting nuttier by the day.  Another example of their nuttiness is this “prophecy.”

For those who haven’t been around enough to know about heretic Jim Bakker, this should give you a good laugh — he spent time binding demons in hell so Trump would win the presidency!

Gloria Copeland is just as much a heretic as is her husband Kenneth.

It’s gotta be true because I saw it on the Internet.

Fred has another episode in his review of the book, Navigating Genesis.

So what happens at a goat pen on Super Bowl Sunday?  Something from Satan.

There is no such thing as a “prayer language” — NO SUCH THING!

Dr. Oz and “Faithful Fridays” — talk about the devil’s workshop!!!!  Priscilla Shirer and Carl Lentz will be deceiving more and more people.

Another church is giving the unrepentant predator Clayton Jennings an open forum.  What is wrong with these people who are supposed to be shepherds?!?

Well, that’s it for now; make sure you still have your hats!

Random Things Needing Discernment

An examination of the cult of Freemasonry. Yes, it is an un-Christian/anti-Christian cult.

Here is a good discernment lesson about how to look at a contemporary “Christian” song.

The apostate Fuller Seminary is NOT “evangelical.”  Christ would have nothing to do with so-called Christians who want unity with Muslims — a PAGAN religion.  What did Paul say about such in 2 Cor. 6:14? (H/T to Doug Evans.)

King” Eddie Long, a Word of Faith heretic, now knows the truth.

Things like this are why I have to ask if there are any real Christians in the Episcopal Church, and if so, why are you still there?

Jennifer LeClaire is a dangerous teacher! Of course, 99% of what Charisma magazine publishes is either aberrant or heretical, so what can we expect?

For those who really have no idea about what the New Apostolic Reformation is about, this article is a good introduction to them.  Horribly dangerous ideology, with lots of aberrant and heretical theological backing.  That one is followed by another testimony.

What you need to know about the charismatic movement (a root of the NAR) and why you need extreme discernment to avoid the false teachings from these people.

Stop telling me to fall in love with Jesus.  This is a terribly unbiblical idea. (I don’t recommend Patheos to immature and/or non-discerning Christians because they often have liberal teachings. And sometimes poor hermeneutics, such as in this article where they say the Song of Solomon is about Christ and the Church — a lie that was started by early church “fathers” who didn’t like the sexuality in it, which of course makes it even more bizarre by having an erotic relationship between Jesus and the Church!)

Remember Heidi Baker who is often with Bethel Redding?  Well her husband, Rolland, is as heretical and demonic as is she!

All you need to know about false prophet Mike Bickle and his IHOP cult all in one place.

Updated information about “The Shack.”  Needed information to counter praises for the movie version.

The Resurrection of Gavin Stone.  Don’t waste your time with this “Christian” movie, and warn your friends against it.

Random Aberrations, Apostasies, and Heresies

Bill Randles has an examination of false prophet/Word of Faith teacher Bill Johnson.  Bill has another interesting article about how Satan hates women, which is one of the reasons for the moral downfall of our culture.

Doug Evans continues his series exposing the false teachings of IHOP.

The teachings of William Branham are examined by The Watchman Fellowship.  AND, they have a new profile on Jainism.

Fred has another episode regarding the fraud of charismania.

Jen Hatmaker seems to think she is the Messiah, or perhaps a pope!  She claims that SHE will radically change the church — for the worse, of course.

SBC president Ronnie Floyd is getting direct revelations from God.  Yep, the same sort of direct revelations from God that SBC darling Beth Moore gets — lying imaginations.  Birds of a feather.

If that isn’t enough, another SBC favorite, Rick Warren, is also getting revelations from God!

Gary Gilley tells us about the “gospel” Rick Warren teaches.

Six years ago I wrote an article exposing the abuse, by way too many Christians, of 2 Chronicles 7:14.  Well, here we come to the annual “National Day of Prayer,” which gets major abuse of this passage, and I am thrilled to see someone else expose the nonsensical abuse of this passage.

Seems the “Holy Spirit” is doing a lot of whispering to ladies out there.  Um, I don’t think so!

Be very careful about the cats you pick up.

Kari Jobe — just another flake heretic distracting Christians from the truth.

Great satire from The Babylon Bee — and so very much on target!
