What a False Church Looks Like

The following was posted on Facebook by Bethel Church and Christianity (a site exposing the false teaching of Bethel).

Not Bethel, likely Prestonwood Baptist (don’t be fooled by their use of the word Baptist). Just one more example of how the false church exhibits its falseness.

While this event is marketed as a community outreach, it is not a free event. Tickets range from $19-$59 per seat. 

The gospel does not require a sideshow, band, lights and a flying Santa to be accepted. The gospel needs to be simply shared and the Holy Sprit does the work of opening eyes, ears, hearts and minds to the truth.

The following was posted on Facebook by “These Aren’t the Apostles You’re Looking For” ( a ministry exposing the false New Apostolic Reformation) on 11/1/23:

The Orphan Mentality: A Conversation

NAR: You have a critical spirit because of your orphan mentality. You need a touch from Abba. Once you encounter His love for you as a son, your heart will be open to receive all He wants to give you. 

Ex-NAR Christian: It’s not that I have a critical spirit. I just believe the truth matters more than our feelings and subjective experience. 

NAR: God’s love is an experience! I’m not sure why that’s an issue. And once you encounter His presence you’ll never be the same. 

Ex-NAR Christian: I have received His love…through the finished work of Jesus on my behalf. He’s brought me from death to life. 

NAR: Yes but there’s so much more! He died for so much more than just to forgive your sins. He wants to take away your orphan spirit and give you the mantle of sonship. Once you get the breakthrough, you’ll be ready to live out your calling.

Ex-NAR Christian - Okay, what is an orphan spirit or mentality in your definition?

NAR: It means you try to relate to God in a mindset of servitude instead of sonship. You can’t receive His best because you are afraid of displeasing Him. You’re too focused on the negative. 

Ex-NAR Christian: No, I have received every spiritual blessing in heavenly places through Christ. And because of Him, and the fact that I’m found in Him, I am pleasing to God on my best and worst days…so I’m not sure what you’re driving at…

NAR: If you operated as a son you wouldn’t have a critical spirit toward men and women of God…but you just can’t stop judging. You’re prideful and unteachable. You need to let the walls down and let Holy Spirit minister to the wounded places. 

Ex-NAR Christian: All I’ve done is consistently taken a stand on the clearest teachings of God’s Word. I don’t hate the teachers you follow. I just want you to see how they have manipulated you by twisting scripture. I don’t have an orphan mentality. I am completely forgiven and deeply loved by my Father on account of Christ. He’s already given me His best. Jesus Christ Himself is the best gift I can fathom…

Also, I’m not taking stances because I’m wounded but because I want to be faithful with the truth. Plus, I care about you. 

NAR: You’re seeing things through a very specific grid. It’s like you’re trying to put God in a box. But He won’t fit. He’s always surprising His kids. 

Ex-NAR Christian - Well then, if faithfulness to the Word is putting God in a box, then that’s a box God Himself made. I’ll stick with the box. 

NAR: I bind the orphan spirit in the name of Jesus. Spirit, I command you to leave. I release a revelation of sonship and royal identity in Jesus’ name. 

Ex-NAR Christian: Thanks, but I already have the Spirit of adoption Who testifies with my spirit that I’m a child of God. He was given to me at conversion. I’m very thankful and I have peace with God because of Christ. 

NAR: No, you are deceived. You are content with lack and consumed with bitterness. But Holy Spirit will touch you and make you free. 

Ex-NAR Christian: How am I bitter? All I did was express concern about your pastor claiming to be an apostle. 

NAR: Orphans find fault. Sons give honor. God cannot work with unteachable and critical hearts. I would encourage you to pray into it. 

Ex-NAR Christian: Thanks, and I encourage you to prayerfully look into the information I shared with you. I too used to follow modern apostles and prophets. Praying for you.

Steven Furtick is a False Teacher

What shepherds are called to do: teach from the scriptures, exposit the scriptures, stick with the scriptures - don't let culture, trends, or itching ears determine the message ->

"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work" (2 Tim 3:16-17).

"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth." (2 Tim 2:15).

"Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine" (2 Tim 4:2).

Steven Furtick does not speak on behalf of God, God has already spoken through the scriptures which are sufficient. Furtick is a wolf, not a shepherd - mark & avoid.

"These are hidden reefs at your love feasts, as they feast with you without fear, shepherds feeding themselves; waterless clouds, swept along by winds; fruitless trees in late autumn, twice dead, uprooted; wild waves of the sea, casting up the foam of their own shame; wandering stars, for whom the gloom of utter darkness has been reserved forever." Jude 1:12-13.

Agglomeration Time!

Lots of good truths and lots of exposing ugly stuff.

What is Truth? Some churches have changed what Scripture clearly says so as not to offend.

With today’s culture, don’t forget the true teachings of the false religion, Islam.

We’ve just had Hallowe’en with all the claims about its occultic origin, etc. How about the actual facts of its origin!

Also Bethel - to critics: we're not accountable for the mess.

If you've watched Grave Soaking - (Part 1) - American Gospel: Spirit & Fire - then you'll know that Bethel are masters at obfuscation. In other words, they are dishonest and lie. This is an example of where their theology leads - individuals who hope or think that:

* Beni might visit her bench.

* It's a place where heaven is open and angels play around.

* They can open a heavenly portal over the bench.

* They can talk to the dead - Beni.

* They can find peace or the presence of God at the bench.

* Anyone who sits there will get loved on by the Holy Spirit.

Tell me who is being elevated - Beni Johnson or Christ?

Once again, a physical location that is connected to someone Bethel perceives as being anointed or a "general in the faith," is being viewed as a place where something supernatural may occur. This could be defined in a few ways (none of them good) - idolatry, mysticism, vain imaginations, occultic.

Do You REALLY Believe in God?

One cannot say, “I believe in God,” while deliberately ignoring God’s instructions. God understands that every human being will at times fail to do what He wants. But deliberate failure to do God’s will on an ongoing basis means that one does not really believe in the God of the Torah. Belief in God means living by God’s laws. Our faith is known through our actions.

Questions for Those Christians Enamored with The Chosen

Those involved in the production of The Chosen claim that the series does not add to God's words (condemned in Proverbs:30:6). How can that be true when the actor who portrays Jesus says things and does things not found in the Bible?

We're told that the backstories given throughout The Chosen were all made up by the series screenwriters, yet we're also told that the made-up stories encourage people to read the Bible. How can anyone who is new to reading the Bible discern that which is true? Especially when The Chosen and the Bible contradict each other, which they do continually.

Did Jesus need help from His disciples (such as Matthew) in preparing the Sermon on the Mount?

Was the Word of God as given through the Holy Spirit insufficient in presenting the character of Jesus until the motion picture medium was invented?

Where in Scripture do we find Jesus "entertaining" children by "blowing raspberries”?

Is it possible for anyone to replicate the Son of God, the Son of the Highest, the Son of the Blessed, the Lord thy God, the Lord of the Sabbath, thou Son of God most high, the Word who was with God and was God, the Lamb of God, the only begotten Son, the Messiah, the Christ, the eternal I Am, who was before all things and by whom all things consist, in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, in Him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily, who is God our Savior, and who is the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior?

Those are just a few questions that came to my mind regarding The Chosen. These kinds of questions will continue for the next few newsletters. My purpose is to get those being seduced by this series (produced by Mormons pretending to be biblical Christians) to really think about what they're watching.
