I’m not going to have time to do much reading of news items or writing anything for the next couple days, so I thought I’d get this “edition” of “RAAH” out this evening. Lots of crazy things going on out there as Satan's web grows even wider.
Another very good review of Ann Voskamp’s horridly unbiblical book, One Thousand Gifts.
Good review of Steven Furtick’s book, “Unqualified,” as well as being a short review of Furtick himself! “Furtick-ology” proves Steven Furtick is a false teacher.
Lastly about Furtick, he doesn’t like to answer questions about his “ministry.”
Doug posted another article in his series on the New Apostolic Reformation. Good stuff!
Fred posts the final episode of his excellent series on Continuationism.
When your church leadership refuses to exercise discipline for promoting sexual immorality, this is what you get.
Anne Graham Lotz — false teacher to avoid.
Should we judge others? A good collection of Bible passage explaining that, yes, we should but that we need to make sure we are doing so properly.
Bill Gothard’s powerless gospel.
Morningstar Ministries and Rick Joyner — false teacher with a “ministry” of deceit.
Bethel Redding’s NAR false prophet and heretic Bill Johnson doesn’t want people to learn the truth about him. He’s also a liar.
Finally, Gary E. Gilley examines C. S. Lewis.

Speaking of Anne Graham Lotz... the only radio sermon of hers I heard was on the topic of heaven. She claims heaven is a cube 1,500 miles on a side, floating in space. It is divided into modest-sized cells which provide privacy for the souls residing there. Yet I have heard other Christians claim heaven is our own third planet from the sun, in some "perfected" future state where there is no smog, forest fires, polluted streams, etc.
On another topic... I have engaged in casual conversation within church on the topic of dinosaurs. There are three camps of belief:
i) Dinosaurs never were living, breathing creatures. Fossils are planted false evidence.
ii) Dinosaurs (other than the avian branch) went extinct before the first humans.
iii) Dinosaurs coexisted with humans.
Have you come to a decision on how dinosaurs fit into natural history?
Anonymous,
I come to my conclusions from the Bible. All dinosaurs were created on day six, and during the FLOOD two of each kind were on the Ark with Noah.
People like to joke about that last -- because dinosaurs are so large. However, dinosaurs are lizards (the word means "terrible lizard"), and lizards never stop growing until they die. These creatures obviously lived to have very long lives.
The Good Lord would not have wasted Noah's labor by making dinosaurs go extinct after the Flood. It is exciting to think that we are eventually going to find stegosaurus, ankylosaurus, and so on living in some isolated part of the earth.
Anonymous,
A lot of animals have gone extinct, so the fact that animals go extinct has nothing to do with God "wasting Noah's labor." They were around for as long as God knew they'd be around.
As to when dinosaurs went extinct, that is a different story. I don't think you'll find much today. However, there were many dinosaurs found in the past few thousand years. The book of Job describes two -- Leviathan and and Behemouth. The excellent book "After The Flood," by Bill Cooper, is about the history of European peoples post-flood, but he also has much evidence of dinosaurs being reported and even included in artwork over the past centuries. KJV and other writings mention "dragons," which were nothing more than dinosaurs.
Answers In Genesis has some excellent resources examining the discoveries of dinosaurs throughout the last thousand years or so.
Glenn, very clear explanation regarding dinosaurs. I've come to the same conclusions. They were created by God and came onto the ark with Noah. They grew over time, and so were at "manageable sizes" when it came time to enter the ark. Dinosaurs in no way "evolved" from birds.
The so-called "Loch Ness monster" may possibly be an example of a dinosaur. In any case, many thousands of creatures have gone extinct just in the last 100 years. Such extinctions are marks of the fallen nature of this world, with the whole creation "groaning" Romans 8.22. Just because dinosaurs are not here now is not evidence that they never existed.

Haber has left a new comment on your post "Random Aberrations, Apostasies, and Heresies":
If there's anywhere that sexual abuse is more prevalent than in mainstream religion, it's in cults. There are tons and tons of cases where cult leaders get it on with their followers and make excuses about it later and their followers are only too happy to sweep it under the rug because the cult leaders are more of a godlike figure than you find in mainstream denominations.
Let's just say I'm not at all surprised by this.
