Good, Bad, and Ugly

The Good:
An excellent video demonstrating why December 25th is a likely date of the birth of Jesus.

Addressing the myth of the “pagan origins” of Christmas.

An examination of the New Order of Latter Rain, and how it led to the New Apostolic Reformation.

Historic Heresies Related to the Nature of Jesus. There heresies continue in many groups today, so it is good to know about them and understand them.

A good article about the cult of Scientology.

The “diseases” plaguing women’s ministry.

The Bad:
A good analysis of Beth Moore.  Then there is a new one-stop “shopping list” for dozens of articles exposing Beth Moore’s false teachings.

The Church of Sweden has bowed to political correctness.

An example of why Michael Brown is dangerous to Christianity.

More attacks on the true faith from those who are supposedly Christians.

The Ugly:
This horrid trash is considered “worship” at Hillsong. Notice in the article that the lead “pastor”’s wife is his partner “pastor."

False Christian Perry Noble really needs to disappear; this is getting ridiculous.  His latest “sermon” proves he is a narcissist-heretic.

  1. Hi Glenn,

Your item on Hillsong regarding "pastor and partner-pastor" piqued my interest because this same issue came up at a "conservative" evangelical church in my area. The pastor's stated desire (on the church website) is to co-pastor a small church in the country with his wife after he retires. She is also "an ordained minister" who currently works as a chaplain in a nursing home.

Knowing that you've probably studied this, thought about it, and come across it, in your opinion:

    1. How widespread is this husband and wife "pastor and co-pastor" thing?

    2. Are women pastors now generally acceptable to "evangelicals"?

    3. Does the Scripture allow women to be pastors in the church, preaching the Word and performing Baptism and leading the Lord's Supper?

The pastor was so "matter of fact" about his wife being a minister, too. I feel like I'm living in an alternate reality...

  2. Hi Alec,

    1. I think it's getting more widespread in churches with false teachers, usually in mega-churches.

    2. "Evangelical" is getting to be a very vacuous term. I think with Christians who really follow Scripture for what it says, it will never be acceptable.

    3. No, the Scripture does NOT permit a woman to be an elder in the Church, and pastors are elders. They CAN preach the word in non-church assembly settings. Scripture does not allow women to be in leadership roles in the assembly, nor are they permitted to teach men in the assembly. Now, ANYONE can baptize another Christian -- nothing in Scripture forbids that, same with leading communion---EXCEPT in the assembly, because both of these ordinances traditionally include teaching about the ordinance, ergo it would be teaching in the assembly.

It has indeed become an alternate reality for the LEFT.
