If you destroy the foundations of anything, the structure will collapse. If you want to destroy any building, you are guaranteed early success if you destroy the foundations. Likewise, if one wants to destroy Christianity, then destroy the foundations established in the book of Genesis. Is it any wonder that Satan is attacking Genesis more than any other book?
The Biblical doctrine of origins, as contained in the book of Genesis, is foundational to all other doctrines of Scripture. Refute or undermine in any way the Biblical doctrine of origins, and the rest of the Bible is compromised. Every single Biblical doctrine of theology, directly or indirectly, ultimately has its basis in the book of Genesis.

What should a Christian taxpayer make of this NASA facility in Houston? They bandy about ages like "4.56 billion years" for a tiny specimen cast off from a comet, as one example. They believe a meteorite found in Antarctic ice originated on the planet Mars. Are we getting value for our tax dollars? Should the Creation Museum in Kentucky be given some of the samples to display and evaluate?

ReplyDeleteWhether Christian or not, I think all taxpayers should be against this huge waste of money. The creation museum does have meteorites, if I remember correctly. While there have been some great technological advances due to the space program, most of that is over and the predominant research is to prove/support evolutionism. No benefit to society for the money spent.

ReplyDeleteWell, the evidence HAS BEEN collected by astronomers which do indeed point towards a young age for the universe. Answers in Genesis and the Institute for Creation Research both have articles on their sites, as well as publication available about the subject.
You might look over their sites -- lots of good stuff.
