Some Random Good Stuff


Excellent article demonstrating biblical reasons that the sign gifts ceased with the end of apostolic age, and the damage caused by teaching otherwise.

I’ve been fighting the idea of “races” for decades.  There is only ONE race — the HUMAN race.  This article really nails the truth of “races” to the wall.

    Hey Glen,

    I enjoy checking out your links and your reasoned approach to Calvinism...Thanks.

    I have a couple thoughts on the article on Cessationism, it closed with -

    "It is perfectly possible to prove that cessationism is a Biblical truth."

    While the writer does give good reasoning using the bible for his position for cessationism, I want to point out that nowhere in the New Testament does it directly say the miraculous gifts will cease during the church age, and there are sound believers who believe differently and can make good reasoning from scripture for the non-cessationist view.

    And while I do agree that way too much erroneous and harmful teaching has come from non-cessationist, there has been much erroneous and unbiblical teaching from the cessationist camp e.g., amillennialism, post millennialism, Theistic Evolution, Replacement Theology and Fulfillment Theology, (which leads to anti-Semitism), pedobaptism, preterism, Christian Reconstructionism, Theonomy, and Lordship Salvation.

    I do not believe the writer proved cessationism.

    The gifts of the Spirit is not a salvation issue, but it is good to search these things out.

    Well said actually better than I could have. I read the article and was not convinced at all, good arguments yes but not even close to thus says the Load.
