Science Cannot Explain Human Behavior

By claiming to offer a "scientific explanation" for human behavior, psychology invaded the realm of soul, spirit, morals, and religion.  It thus posed a greater challenge to belief in God and the gospel than had physics or chemistry, which proposed no explanation for the universe or man's existence.  Many of this century's greatest scientists have issued grave warnings against trying to mix science and religion.  Einstein said, ". . . scientific theory has nothing to do with religion."  Nobel laureate Erwin Schroedinger added, "[Science] knows nothing of . . .  good or bad, God and eternity."  Pretending to know what it couldn't, psychology offered a religious science of the mind and claimed to present new evidence for God's existence: the harmony of psychology and Scripture.  The truth is that the two are irreconcilable.

Indeed science and The Word of God have nothing in common, but evidently, this does not prevent man from continuing to try.!!!.

  5. Excellent quote from Dave Hunt. True counseling comes from our LORD through His Word, period. The Body of Christ is supposed to be equipped to bear one another's burdens in love and righteousness through the power of God, the Holy Spirit. One of the concerns I see today is the issue of "maturity" within the Body, for in this day and age, we have so much, and yet are growing little.

I have asked a great many within Christendom this question, "Is there anyone in your congregation that you can trust to bear and carry your burdens (problems of living) with you and know fully that it is held in confidence and that they are truly praying for God's Will in your life?"

The majority of answers is "no."

Oh, how sad a day when Christian morals imitate 2 Timothy 3:1-7 more so than those we label as "unsaved."

A church gossip is far more dangerous to the soul than an unchurched person who respects a confidence.

And oh, how sad a day when born again believers have to go into the world for counseling because church attendees are still engaging in the theatrics of "high school drama."

May our LORD "grow us up" in His Ways.
