Only thing missing: that life somehow got MORE complex without any design, purpose, or assistance. In total contradiction to sound science and the 2nd law of thermodynamics.
Oh, that's not missing -- that's the steps between 2 and 3 and 4 and 5. "Things happen" to reach the next greater complexity -- we just don't know what it is!

The real enemy to God being the creator isn't evolution, It's theistic evolution, where there is death before man and sin, i.e. God used death to create this world and man. That makes God evil.
"Theistic evolution is more heinous in that it teaches Christians to accept the lie of evolution."
True, but theistic evolution is worse. Evolution has no God. If logically thought through theistic evolution teaches Christians that God - before sin - used suffering, disease, pain, death, animals viciously killing each other for food, etc.,(as they believe the fossil record shows) to eventually make man.
This would make God a very cruel, God, which is a lie.
The bible is clear that death entered this world through Adam's sin, not before.
Evolution denies God, theistic evolution says God is a monster.
I agreed. Theistic evolution and evolution are really the same though - a distinction without a difference. My point is that T.E. is more heinous because of how it leads Christians to believe in the lie of evolution as truth.

ReplyDeleteSteve Bricker has left a new comment on your post "Atheism's Universe":
ReplyDeleteIf not for all those pesky gaps, the whole process would be logical. Thanks, Glenn, for the irony.

Hi Glenn,
ReplyDeleteSome people (like me) are not that great with "implied" things... we prefer things plainly said. :)

ReplyDeleteK
K,
ReplyDeleteEvolution also teaches that there was death and decay before humans.
Theistic evolution is nothing but evolution dressed up to say that God used evolution.
Theistic evolution is more heinous in that it teaches Christians to accept the lie of evolution.
