The world is the enemy of the Christian. You do not go out of it, but you must not spend too much time in it. If you spend too much of your time in a worldly atmosphere you will find that the edge of your spiritual life will become dulled. There is nothing wrong inherently in looking at television or listening to the radio, but if you spend too much time in doing so, it is certain that you will not be able to pray so well, and you will lose your fast for the Scriptures.
