New Converts Need to Learn Genesis

When new converts come into a church, they should be led in a Bible study on the book of Genesis.  They will learn exactly what Christianity is all about and will learn the basis for all Christian doctrine.  Results do come from simply preaching about Christ and the cross in our society today, because there is still a remnant of the Creation basis for that preaching.  But this remnant is disappearing very quickly, and thus the response is far less today than in the past.  It is time we woke up and used the tools that the Lord has provided to evangelize a society that has become like the ancient Greeks.  It is time to restore the foundations of Christianity.

Sadly, so much of Christianity has moved away from or is blatantly ignoring the Old Testament. I don't know if this is the influence of the Red Letter school of "thought" but the only teacher of the word that I can count on to consistantly teach from the Old Testament and tie that lesson in with the New Testament is Dr. Tony Evans.

Christians NEED a good understanding of Genesis, it is the basis, the foundation of everything we believe. If you can't find a Christian preacher who can teach it, ask a rabbi. I was taught Genesis and Ruth by a Rabbi and still thank the Lord for that opportunity.

Allow me to draw a parallel - failure to learn Genesis is the same as failure to learn US History. You can see the chaos caused by ignoring Genesis and US History by looking at the antics of the "Christian" Left and the nonsense of the last few election cycles

  2. Ken Ham's creation series Bible Study was a useful tool of sound doctrine for our Sunday School youth as well as small group Adult study. Sadly, many of our so called prestigious Bible colleges are teaching the 'according to god, a day is as a thousand year' false theology. It grieves me that our young people spend a fortune to attend private Bible colleges and then are betrayed with the teachings of professors indoctrinating these students into not regarding the creation account as literal.

These same students come back into our communities and bravely vocalize their disagreements with our Biblical beliefs concerning God's creation, becoming angry with us older, 'uneducated' adults/parents when we do not succumb to their 'worldly wisdom.'

This grieves my heart for the next generation is being indoctrinated by our so called Bible colleges preparing the way for global warning lies, environmental worship (creation worship), and the coming beast system.

As mentioned before, Pastor Dean Goode has an excellent series on the coming world system, one vimeo video entitled "As goes the church, so goes the culture." Highly recommend the pastor's insight.

  3. What is the right way to view the evidence shown in this brief article?

    https://www.newscientist.com/article/2079606-dinosaur-era-geckos-and-chameleons-perfectly-preserved-in-amber/

They throw around ages like "100 million years" in connection with geckos trapped in amber.

  4. Anonymous,

The right way to view the evidence is that it is just evidence that these critters were trapped in amber at some time in the past. The dates they give are just made up and thrown out there with no supportive facts.

  5. Thanks, Mr. Chatfield.

If you have not already heard it, you will eventually hear this from a skeptic: "Why does Genesis put the creation of plants before the creation of the Sun?"

    What is the best response?

  6. Anonymous,

And just why can't the plants come before the sun? Because an evolutionist says so? God is light, and that is all the light plants need. Also, God can provide whatever plants need before the sun exists. After all, He created everything, so He can do it any way He likes!
