Did They Really Say That?

?!?
“Evil has no reality.  It is neither person, place, nor thing, but is simply a belief, an illusion of material sense.”
Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p.71

There you have it, ladies and gentlemen: evil is only an illusion.  There is really no such thing as evil.

This is not science OR Christianity.

  1. how utterly sad, because Paul says there is evil and we know there is because the evidence of evil in ourselves is the fact that we all DIE~ Romans 5

In other words the universality of death proves the universality of sin that we inherited from Adam. And the definition of Evil- means sinful, immoral. Jesus told us where Evil comes from-"For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander."-Mat 15:19

Also, 1John2:16- John's description of the evil in this world deals with realities that are distinctly immaterial. Verse 16 "for all that is in the world (and he's speaking of all the evil that is in the world) ""For all that [is] in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world." He's saying that the basic realities of evil are all immaterial (realities)* not illusions
