Stand Fast In the Faith

The epistles to Timothy and Titus are full of exhortations to hold fast, and to stand fast in the faith.  Believing that example is better than precept, the apostle, with the axman’s block in sight, declared that he had kept the faith. To every one of us in these apostate days there comes the clarion call from Paul of loyalty to the Scriptures and to the faith once delivered unto the saints.
Some of our theological seminaries and colleges are hotbeds of destructive, diabolical criticism.  Many of our pulpits are manned by those who, in their hearts, discredit many of the cardinal truths of Scripture, but who dare not preach all that they believe and discuss in their ministerial fraternals in case the outcry against them is greater than it is at present.
Herbert Lockyer, All the Doctrines of the Bible, p. 265

  1. Glenn, I appreciate your blog, love bagpipes too! We are on the same team based upon your posts. Now if we can just get together on the battleplan for waking up the saints in Babylonian churchianity to come out of man centered religion, and into a God centered fellowship, (be it in a building or not) where Jesus is Lord. Then we together can be even more productive then each individually, for 1 can chase a thousand but 2 ten thousand!

  2. I am a 37 year old stay at home wife who is looking for a college to study theology. I love The Lord and wonder if you could recommend a non apostate one I can look into.
    Thanks

  3. I'm not really familiar with colleges other than what I hear from others. I've heard that Cedarville University in Cedarville, OH is quite good. I do know that Emmaus Bible College in Dubuque, IA is a good one - my daughter got her music ministry and elementary teaching degrees there.
