It is a point I never spent time considering, as it isn't something of great significance the surroundings in which Jesus was born. That it wasn't in a palace, as the article mentions, is enough.

But the whole thing makes sense given a source I have regarding 13th/14th century England and the manner in which many lower class people lived regarding proximity to their animals. Very similar.

I love these types of insights.Marshal Arthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01054268632726520871noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6043971967398769903.post-78573725290212260562017-12-28T13:52:50.584-06:002017-12-28T13:52:50.584-06:00Hi Martha,

These men spoke of their hyper-spiritual experiences and wowed their audiences into having these same experiences, all the while selling their books and other religious junk at the door.

While calmly disagreeing with one of the in-laws, carefully pointing out Scriptural reference as written by Paul, under the guidance of God, the Holy Spirit, pertaining to the third heaven, she became disgusted with me as she reminded me that she has been a Christian longer than me. And what do suppose the in-laws gave me as a gift for Christmas? A book about heavenly trips made by those who have passed away and come back to life, speaking of their spiritual vacations. That book made it way, supernaturally of course, into the trash can, never to be revived again.

I find it fascinating that when one disagrees with an institutional church leader (this in-law is divorced and she is the leader of their church's youth group), one of the first correctional leadership methods, is being on the receiving end of a book, cd, dvd, or some other form of religious educational jibberish, written by some man or woman as a method to earn income and gain fame.

And to date, all of these heavenly tourists have a different description of the true Jesus' appearance. I find that ironic; along with all of those pictures of a jesus adorning the walls and halls of church buildings. Marthanoreply@blogger.com
