Unfortunately, we are still without one and have been 'home-churching' for over three years.

While we miss having a church family, the Lord has blessed us with many like-minded Christians with whom we fellowship on a regular basis; some of whom are looking also.

I truly believe that in days ahead it will become even more difficult to find a sound church.

Maranatha!

~YvonneYvonnehttp://www.fragranceoftruth.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6043971967398769903.post-17697134068160038352010-01-18T10:29:38.697-06:002010-01-18T10:29:38.697-06:00That's an interesting journey, Glenn. My kids joked that they'd get the lessons every year -- e.g., Noah's Ark. Ironically, they use that one lots with kids because of the cute animals, but ignore the horror of the real story.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6043971967398769903.post-13791833061004999282010-01-17T17:33:18.396-06:002010-01-17T17:33:18.396-06:00I thoroughly understand what you mean. She knew I wouldn't sit on it.

Let's hope your church's session turns into a really good discernment lesson!Glenn E. Drew heavily from your writing, PFO issues, and other reputable documentation. They agreed with me. Moore's studies have not been done since.

The thing is, I don't want to get a reputation as being a trouble-maker at church. That's a real danger, especially if you're a woman, because the "clout" you have is quite limited. Also, the 2 women who decided to do this are married to deacons, so I wouldn't stand a chance of being heard (even though doctrinally, I know what I'm talking about).

But you know what? Good may come of it yet - as a discernment exercise. I hope and pray every single NANC counselor and trainee from church is there - including the pastor's wife - with a Bible, open notebook, and a pen. What Moore teaches is 180 degrees opposite from NANC's stance, so hopefully the false teaching will be so blatantly obvious they'll be as horrified as I was when we were doing "Stepping Up".

It's the others...the regular women in studies expecting to be fed, who hang on her every word, that I'm worried about.Mariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15411152395819469453noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6043971967398769903.post-54786951843861682642010-01-17T15:55:20.630-06:002010-01-17T15:55:20.630-06:00I'd be in there with the leadership raising ca...I'd be in there with the leadership raising cain!Glenn E. This morning at church they were hyoing this all-day, 6 hour telecast of Beth Moore teaching about "Insecurity" coming up in April! Oh goody! And we even have to pay to attend this pop-psychology fest!

Just gouge my eyeballs out with a fork, please.Mariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15411152395819469453noreply@blogger.com
