The error of post millennialism (and the dominionist view as well), that the world will improve as each successive generation hears the Gospel, until everything is at peace and then Christ returns. Not so! The days of Noah/Lot would signify that the end will be, as Lloyd Jones said, just like the beginning, full of depravity and wickedness. Only Christ's pre millennial return will set things right, for the 1000 years, while satan is imprisoned. But these days are indeed the age of satan. Come quickly Lord Jesus!

Oh yes, friends, and are the fields still white for the harvest? When did Christ say that? At the *beginning* of the harvest, 2000 years ago. But anyone who knows even a little about agriculture knows harvests all have an end. There might be a few decent tomatoes to glean here and there amidst the browning vines and rotting vegetation, but not many. That's my reply to those who are daily looking for the next 'pentecost style revival'.

-Carolyn

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6043971967398769903.post-56147310911376116782015-07-19T11:02:25.580-05:002015-07-19T11:02:25.580-05:00Pentecostals are always preaching and teaching of ...Pentecostals are always preaching and teaching of this great revival coming to our land, America. As far as I can tell with all of the sexual deviance within the heterosexual community (our pastor is an unrepentant adulterer and his household is filled with sexual sins and he is still preaching in a pentecostal church), as well as the legalization of homosexual unions (won't call it marriage here), I just cannot see where the so called revival is coming from. We have a revival all right and it is called "Babylon." Obviously, the opposite is happening. Perhaps we are not preaching and living it well enough ourselves. Perhaps it is as you say, that it is not in the nature of mankind to ever improve. I do not care to wager against it.Marshal Arthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01054268632726520871noreply@blogger.com
