It would be interesting to go, but I know with my experience in sharing the truth concerning Hinduism/Yoga with the Lutheran pastor, he has a tendency to mock those of us who do not believe we all worship the same god. I was the butt of his joke during a school board meeting in which I presented information on why students should not be doing yoga, nor should health teachers be promoting yoga to its students for exercise or meditation. It is pagan and blasphemes the Word of God.

My mother in law attended a Bible study where the "leader" told them that muslims and Christians worship the 'same god.' And since my mother in law was 'baptized' at birth, and 'confirmed' in the Lutheran Church, she believes she 'knows more,' thus proselytizing to me, her religious beliefs. And it is people like her, that do not take the time to research other belief systems/worldviews, comparing them to our Holy Scriptures in seeking God's truth.

So now our small community will be told the lie "muslims and Christians worship the same god" (George W. Bush spoke the same words via television), and those who disagree will be mocked, slandered, and possibly lose business customers as well, as 'word' gets around in a hurry who the 'dissenters' are. It becomes difficult in communities due to the fact that many self labeled professionals, ie., doctors, lawyers, dentists, teachers, etc., are actually practicing muslims, thus are looked up too, being more influential that the so called 'non educated folks.'

We live in interesting times where sharing the Gospel with churched folks becomes rather hazardous at times, because churches are now promoting 'we are all one,' 'we worship the same god,' and 'I am god, I am so proud of myself.'

And the local Baptist pastor man down the road preaches 'the "force" in the Star Wars movie is like the holy spirit to us.'

I say 'no thank-you very much to islam and 'the force.'

We live in interesting times to be sure, but as lower laity no bodies, we still can share the living Gospel of Jesus Christ, even with the 501c. 3 churched! Jesus shares the throne with no other.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
