Many of the women in my former church succumbed to the belief that our LORD was speaking to them constantly with common IHOP speech, "The lord spoke to me this or that," "God told me this," or another favorite was "The Holy Spirit told me this about you," etc. And like a dumb sheep, I too, got caught up in all of this until one day, an "extra" spiritual woman shared that god revealed things to her and she grabbed a paper and pen and wrote down all of the things "the voice" was speaking to her. And on another occasion, she fell down on the floor by the power of a spirit (she called this force the holy spirit) and birthed. And when I asked her what that was, she shared that she went through the pain and experience of having a baby, the only difference was that there was no literal baby being born there.

And when I asked her where she found these truths in the Bible, she became defensive and said, "They're not in the Bible, but they are in Charisma Magazine!"

Having come out of this cult church, I have but one question, "Why is it that these types of charismatic/pentacostal churches believe they have the patent on the Bible and God, the Holy Spirit, fully believing that anyone that does not attend their churches are labeled as "unsaved?"

I won't even mention their "prophetic" dreams and visions that were used to abuse, control, and manipulate the rest of us....it's almost too unbelievable.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6043971967398769903.post-77003031706714709642015-04-10T14:41:04.148-05:002015-04-10T14:41:04.148-05:00My son and I both have the same "gift" a...My son and I both have the same "gift" as Rebecca Greenwood, but we both realize it's not a prophetic ability from God, but a lack of screenwriting skills on the part of Hollywood.Doug Evanshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05318930961031654937noreply@blogger.com
